Srinagar, Nov 24 (KNO): Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Monday said the strength of armed forces lies in synergy and that the tri-services - the Army, Navy and the Air Force form the trinity of India's strategic strength.
Speaking during the commissioning of INS Mahe in Mumbai, the Army Chief, per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that the sea, land and skies form a single continuum of national security and together the tri-services form the trinity of India's strategic strength.
He also said that from Ladakh to the Indian Ocean and from information warfare to joint logistics, the Indian armed forces are in operation in every domain. "Operation Sindoor was an apt example of the synergy of the armed forces," he added.
He further said that in the age of multi-domain operations, the country's ability to act in concert from the depths of the ocean to the highest frontier will determine the security influence of the Indian republic.
Following the commissioning of INS Mahe, the Army Chief said that the Indian Navy plays a key role in the neighbourhood as well as in the global environment in far-off lands where the Army's efforts can play both a supplementary and a complementary role in soft and hard diplomacy—(KNO)
